Published May 28, 2011Like the Baby boomers “Independent Living” is a popular housing option for Generation X. This Generation was born from 1965-1981,this year they will be turning 30-46. An estimated 46 million were born in Generation X.
I’m from this generation and I’m currently in the “Independent living” category. I have included this generation in the over 55 market because these are the people who are helping to make decisions with family members in the GI, Silent and Baby Boomer Generation. Senator Mark Rubio, Julia Roberts, Harry Connick, Jr, Lance Armstrong and Stephanie Meyer were born during this generation.
Who do you know from this Generation and what is their current living/real estate plan?
Published May 27, 2011“Independent Living” is the current option for the Baby Boomer Generation. This Generation was born from 1946-1964, this year they will be turning 47-66. An estimated 76 million were born.
My mom is from this Generation and is currently “Living Independent”. She has lived in the same home since 1976. President Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Stephen King and Michael Jackson were born during this generation.

Published May 26, 2011“Care Facilities, Assisted living and Independent living” are some of the housing options currently for the Silent Generation or The Lost Generation. This generation was born from 1925-1945, this year they will be turning 66-86. An estimated 35 million were born.
My Aunt Juanita is from this Generation and is currently “Living Independently”. She has lived in the same home since 1960. Nancy Pelosi, Joe Paterno, Martha Stewart, Jackie Kennedy, Johnny Carson, John Updike and Elvis Presley were born during this generation.
